Nam Jihyun, a 'Hateful Lady' to Kim Soeun in 'A Thousand Kisses'

Girl group 4minute's Nam Jihyun showed a perfect acting of a 'Hateful Lady' as she throw away all her anger to Kim Soeun.

We can see the scene in MBC TV Weekend Drama 'A Thousand Kisses', in the episode on 6th November.

Sooah (Nam Jihyun) was preparing the meal alone in Jiseon (Cha Hwayeon)'s kitchen, and asked the whereabouts of Yoomi (Kim Soeun). Jiseon explained that she has something urgent to do in her room. Then Sooah went to her room and showed her anger.

Sooah said to Yoomi, "Just because your mother-in-law treats you well, you can't forget your position. Thick-skinned." Yoomi was frozen because she doesn't know what to do. Jiseon hits Sooah's back lightly and scolded her.

After that, Sooah runs to Byeongdu (Lee Sunjae) and told him that Jiseon hits her. This is not the first time that Sooah made Jiseon embarrassed. 4minute's Jihyun showed a perfect character of a hateful lady.

Are Super Junior & the Brown Eyed Girls too old to be called ‘idols’?

On November 5th, Y-STAR‘s ’Curious Things‘ conducted a street survey in which they asked ordinary people about the criteria of being an idol.

According to the survey results, the average age of  idols came out to be 25 – indicating that people did not really see stars over the age of 25, as idols. Taking this into account, Y-STAR calculated the average age of various groups.

Groups such as SNSD, T-ara, and 2PM were found to have an average age of less than 25, while groups like Super Junior and Brown Eyed Girls had a higher average age.

With these results, it was concluded that Brown Eyed Girls and Super Junior should be not recognized as just ‘idols’, but rather as ‘adult idols’.

Super Junior celebrate their 6th anniversary

On November 6th, Super Junior member, Ryeowook uploaded 2 photos in light of their 6th anniversary via Twitter.

Along with the photos, the idol wrote, “It’s been 6 years since our debut.  Through the love of so many people, I think we were able to create 6 years of memories~Thank you so much~I’m really thankful to each and every one of our members >< I really really love you guys~ <3 Ryeowook“.

Fans congratulated the members for their hard work and rejoiced over the affectionate pictures uploaded by the idol.  The white and black photo contains ten members posing together like true friends, while the bottom image shows 13 members from their early times.

Tweeters commented, “Happy 6th Anniversary!“, “This is making me cry T_T“, and “I wish all 13 were back together again“.

T-ara reveals jacket shots for "CRY CRY"

As they wait to make their official comeback, girl group T-ara released the jacket shots for “Cry Cry” from their new album, “Black Eyes“.
The girls ditched their cutesy look for an image that’s definitely more edgy and powerful. Their strong gazes manage to ensnare, despite the monochromatic effect of the pictures.T-ara will follow up with another set of photo releases on November 15th for their other main track, “Lovey-Dovey“.

INFINITE talks about their 1st place win & expanding into Japan

After working tirelessly to attain their place in the sun, INFINITE finally secured their first music program win on September 1st through Mnet‘s ‘M! Countdown‘. Experiencing a sudden surge of interest, the group decided that now was the right time to announce their plans of officially expanding into Japan.

INFINITE’s management told Star News on the 4th, “Even though promotions have not yet begun, the current reaction in Japan is positive,” and expressed their confidence by stating,“In the later half of this year with promotions going on in both Korea and Japan, INFINITE will be able to establish a color unique to them.”

INFINITE have already started to segue into Japan thanks to member L, who participated in the popular Japanese drama, ‘Jiu’. The drama has been recording high viewer ratings as well as extensive media coverage from Japan — the achievement is all the more noteworthy because the drama airs during the late Friday night time slot.

INFINITE plans to reveal the Japanese version of “BTD” this coming November, and are determined to secure their place as the next generation of Hallyu stars.

The positive atmosphere that surrounds the group at the moment seems to bode well for the good things awaiting them. The members shared their thoughts about their emotional 1st win while shedding tears.

Leader Sung Gyu was overcome with emotion stating, “Being more tense than I had ever been in my whole life, I couldn’t think”.

Woo Hyun commented, “I couldn’t believe that this moment was the first 1st place of my life. I had blanked out to the point that I didn’t even realize tears were coming out of my eyes”. Sung Jong added,“I wasn’t sure whether it was reality or a dream. All the difficult times from the past scanned through my head. This win had a especially big meaning being that it was our 1st win with our 1st album after 1 year of debut. I’m thankful to the fans”. 

The song that won them the award, “Be Mine“, is an intense synth-pop dance song produced bySweetune (made up of Han Jae Ho and Kim Seung Soo), the brains behind KARA’s hit songs.

Leeteuk "I once grabbed Eunhyuk by the collar"

Lee Teuk, the leader of the star idol group Super Junior, appeared on the episode of KBS 2TV’s “Happy Sunday-Two Days and One Night” that aired on June 9 and said that he had once grabbed Eun Hyuk, a Super Junior member, by the collar, which drew the attention of viewers. Asked if he had ever quarreled with members of Super Junior, he said, “I once grabbed Eun Hyuk by the collar, whom I’ve known for ten years.”

He said, “The members are very mischievous by nature. Usually I have endured their mischief well, but one day when Sin Dong, Seong Min and Eun Hyuk were quite naughty, I was not in a good condition and was nervous.”

He recalled the situation at that time and said, “I was annoyed at their mischievous actions. When I looked up, I saw Eun Hyuk -- who I think is easy to deal with -- and grabbed him by the collar.”

According to Lee, Eun Hyuk was shocked by the accident and did not show up for the live broadcast of KBS 2FM’s “Super Junior’s Kiss the Radio” show the next day, bewildering the production team and other cast members. The producer in charge of the program, who was worried because Eun Hyuk did not show up without notice, asked Lee Teuk if Eun Hyuk had any problem in connection with a girlfriend.

Lee Teuk confessed, “I couldn’t put blame on myself and said ‘I don’t know’ with an air of innocence,” which produced laughter in the audience.

Lee Teuk also revealed the secret of "idol airport fashion." He said that Choi Si Won, one of the Super Junior members, always wears a suit and tie, parts his hair at the side and even takes a carrier with him whenever he goes to the airport.

Also on the episode, announcer Lee Ji-ae (who is also a KBS Cool FM Radio DJ), Lee Hyun Woo, Danny Ahn, Super Junior's Yesung and Lee Teuk appeared and recounted various incidents.

B2ST Fiction is a Hit Thanks to Kolon Sports

After the music video was released after a week, BEAST's 'Fiction' already exceeded 130 million views in public broadcast and sweeps the music cable charts thanks to Kolon Sports.

The music video became a hot interest because of BEAST's fashion.

In the 'Fiction' music video, Lee Kikwang was in a black vest that exposes his arms that emphasizes his masculinity with Yong Junhyung who wears a black vest with a white round[neck] t-shirt that shows a simple yet stylish style. On the other hand, Yoon Doojoon and Jang Hyunseung wore black jackets that was decorated with many zippers that shows their tough charms. But these jackets is a one-of-a-kind item. 'The Touchable Jacket' of Kolong Sports was introduced through BEAST's music video, is made from a material of comfortable cotton that is soft to the touch and this stylish casual jacket has detachable sleeves and pockets. With this detachable function, different styles can be made on the members and can even be worn with a vest.

This fashion, a product of Kolon Sports, BEAST wore in the music video became a focus of adoring fans and they investigate about the product, and through SNS channel, Kolon Sports's 'BEAST Jacket' became a hot issue that spreads rapidly.

Kolon Sports Marketing Director, Park Seunghwa said, 'Kolon Sports's travel line is having a collaboration for the season launching with French designer 'Jean Kolonna' as an outdoor line that is functional yet fashionable that emphasizes more on the features.
